Science club of Yebilaptsa middle Secondary School had
organised a science exhibition on 2nd November 2013. As a part of the action plan of science club,
it has organised a science exhibition with the help of science club members and
club in-charge Mr. Remesan.A. They brought wonderful ideas, practically tested
during the club time and exhibited on 2nd November. The main attractions of the day were
hydraulic arm and the rocket with CO2. So many specimens of animals
and plants were kept which were quite interesting and informative to the
students. The members made few of the scientific principles into practice. They
practised learning by doing. Another interesting item was a maths puzzle, in
which the students can use numbers 1 to 16 in a table and they can use one
number once only. Whatever it is when we add vertically, horizontally and
diagonally the sum should be same. Many of the students were trying to this
puzzle and last around eleven students could solve it, Kinzang Dorji of 9B
being the first. Disappearing coin, fire without matches, game of chance, game
of nervousness, series and parallel connections, fountain, extraction of lemon grass oil, sea shells, backbone of a snake, working model of digestive system,
manometer, mini fan, production of hydrogen etc.... were some of the
interesting items. Informative note on famous scientists and sexually
transmitted diseases also displayed. The main aim of conducting such activities
in the school is to develop certain values among children. During science
exhibition we could develop team spirit, creativity, patience, conscious,
responsible, integrity, positive attitude, insightfulness, resourceful, self discipline, |
