The School Media Literacy Club (yML) conducted Inter-class Banner competition

The School Media Literacy Club (yML) conducted Inter-class Banner competition on 14/09/2012 with the banner decoding competition (theme: people, media and democracy) and distribution of attractive prizes to the top three entries in both, higher and lower, levels. The Programme, funded by DoIM, was conducted to fulfil the following objectives:

1.      To bring awareness about the importance of being media literate in this information based society.

2.      To be able to appreciate and utilize the role of media in democracy.

3.      To be able to use the media and information to their own advantage and for the benefit of the society.

4.      To enhance creativity of students.

5.      To be able to use critical thinking while decoding media message.

The classes 10B from higher level and 8B from lower level were awarded the best banner of the competition.
