Forest Fire in Yebilaptsa (watch movie clip)

The three-day fire, which is spreading towards south to the Royal Manas National Park has destroyed about 700 acres of forests.

The fire is said to have started below the Panbang-Gomphu road, a few kilometers away from Yebilaptsa School at around 1 am on Sunday.

About 700 firefighters comprising of police, forest officials, students and volunteers have finally controlled  the fire. 

The school has now resumed as normal. however the atmosphere still remains filled with smoke and dust.
