On the 17th of May, 2014, the Media Literacy Club organized inter-house debate competition among the four houses. The theme for the debate was ‘Media and Culture’ and the topic selected for the occasion was: ‘Mass media promotes cultural integration, not cultural dilution’. The theme and the topic were being selected in consultation with the teacher colleagues mainly to create awareness on the wise use of mass media in cultural and social context.  Coinciding with the World Telecommunication Day (which is a enlisted activity of Media Literacy Club), the literary event also  highlighted on the roles of telecommunication as an essential mode of mass media.

It was felt the necessity of such awareness to be inculcated in our students so that we can prepare our students to be a wiser media consumer in this digital world. The Media Literacy Club aims at preparing our students to be a smart and critical thinker in this media-driven world. The program was a successful activity with necessary support and help from concerned agencies.

The club master floats his gratitude to all those individual who rendered their helping hand in making the program a success.
