Career talk to class ten students

On 23rd October 2012, an official from the YGD accompanied by the Regional Director of Gelephu visited YMSS. They gave an exclusive presentation on the career related topics for tenth graders of the school. The main objectives of the presentation were to generate career awareness and to orient the students about the current job market, especially emphasizing on the vocational training and services. The experts informed the students that the main problem of unemployment in Bhutan is not because of the lack of job opportunities but owing to mismatch between skills of job seeker and the labor market demand.

The presentation which lasted for 3hours was attended by keen 104 students of class ten. Students were enriched with stock of career related information and fueled with motivation which would later help them to make realistic and achievable career decisions.
