The school was constructed with the funding from the World Bank project in the year 1991. In 1993, the construction was completed and t
he school started to function as a full fledged lower secondary school with classes ranging from 4 to 8. At that time, the school received students from all over the country. The school gradually began to phase out classes 4, 5, and 6. By 1998, the school phased out class 6 and upgraded itself to middle secondary level in the year 2002. The first batch of class X students passed out in 2003 with very good results.
